Job summary

The Florida Panthers are seeking a Bartender for concession stands at Amerant Bank Arena. This is a part-time, non-exempt role reporting to the Beverage Manager. Previous bartending experience and POS knowledge are required to efficiently serve fans during games and events.

You will handle beverage orders, maintain sanitation standards, and assist in bar setup and breakdown. Flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays are expected.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Bartender – Concessions is responsible for the fast and efficient sale of alcohol beverages to patrons at concession stands located throughout the arena. The role will require accurate point of sale (POS) system use, filling orders, and compliance with all sanitation, safety, and alcohol service standards.

Job Functions:

Specific duties included but are not limited to:

• Fill orders for beverages and when necessary, food orders as well (some bars well food items).
• Ensure all alcohol beverages are served in compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
• Understand and execute responsible alcohol service
• Follow all sale handling procedures by policy.
• Manage all sales in the Point of Sales (POS) system.
• Perform cleaning duties before, during, and after every shift.
• Participate in the set-up and tear-down of the bar area and related equipment
• Actively participate in safety programs and follow policies.
• All other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor

Qualifications:

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
• Prior experience handling a fast-paced environment is considered an asset.
• 2+ years bartending experience and POS knowledge is required
• Willingness to learn and follow direction and to adapt to different locations throughout the building.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once
• Positive, self-started with strong communication skills
• Strong, interpersonal and teamwork skills; you may be on a bar alone or with up to eight other people
• Must be able to perform physical requirement of the position, including bending and/or lifting to 50lbs and standing/walking for extended periods of time without sitting
• Must possess and positive attitude and strong work ethic. Must have a “team-first” mentality with an eagerness to learn
• Must be able to work in an environment where the noise level is generally high, crowd traffic is heavy, temperatures are variable – usually cold, and lights are bright or dark with occasional exposure to flashing lights and pyrotechnics.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This position is a non-exempt position. Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
