Job summary

SSP America is seeking bartenders for Sterling, VA. Full-time and part-time roles are available with great pay starting at $3.50 per hour plus tips, plus referral bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities include taking orders, handling cash, serving drinks and food, maintaining a clean bar area, and operating the POS system. One year of bartending experience and related certifications are required; English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year bartending experience required.
• Certification by state, federal, or local training program required.
• Verbal and written English language proficiency.

• Receive payment from customers and process change.
• Serve cold, frozen, and hot drinks as well as food items to guests.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Ensure that the work area is clean throughout the day.
• Clean equipment and utensils, remove trash, sweep and mop the work area.

Here are a few things you can expect when you join our team as a Bartender

• Other duties as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate For This Position Has

• Minimum one year bartending experience required, including certification by state, federal, or local required training program.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages.
• Verbal and written English language
• Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders.
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand weights and measurements.
• Brand certification as required.
• Ability to operate a keyboard & point of sale procedures to pre-check and order & close out a check.
• Ability to work and stand in confined spaces for long periods of time.
