Job Duties and Responsibilities:Inspects bar before opening to ensure adequate supplies are availableFollows set-up proceduresPrepares garnishes, mixes and pre-mixed drink.Greets guests upon arrivalMixes, prepares, and serves drinks according to recipes approved by Food and Beverage DirectorReports complaints to a manager as soon as they occurMaintains and cleans equipmentMaintains records of liquors, beers, wine, tobacco and sundries to ensure par stock is maintained at all timesMonitors daily inventory and usage to see which drinks and liquors are in the greatest demandCleans and locks up according to prescribed proceduresEnsures all cash is kept in a safe and secure manner at all timesCleans all facilities and supplies used according to all Department of Health and Environment Control (DHEC) standards.Ensures that all functions where alcohol is to be served are operated in accordance with the ABC Laws and all subsequent amendmentsComplies with all state and local laws pertaining to the sales and distribution of alcoholic beveragesParticipates in the ordering of liquor, beer, wine, soda, mixers, snacks and tobacco productsPerforms month end inventoriesMaintains Sales Sheet and product levels for outside cooler areas (half-way house and 16th tee)Conducts inventories prior to and after tournamentsStocks cottages with requested beverages as neededAssists in arranging local transportation for members and guests.Takes food and beverage orders of members and guests as neededClears tables of soiled dishes and washes dishes as neededOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesHigh School diploma, GED or equivalentCurrent valid SC Driver’s LicensePrior bartending experience and current Bartending licensing/ TIPS certification preferredExcellent communication skills and ability to follow sanitation proceduresExtensive knowledge of drink preparation or serviceAbility to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative patronsMust be able to work extended hours, to include weekends and holidays as neededMust be able to work on multiple assignments at a time with frequent interruptions, changes, delays, and stressful situations. Must be able to stay focused and work effectively, efficiently and cheerfully under such circumstancesMachines, Tools, and EquipmentBasic kitchen appliances and utensils including blenders, knives, etc.Physical and Visual Activities:Standing, walking, bending, reaching, reading, writing and talkingLift up to 50 pounds.#SGC
