Position: Bartender

The main role of the Bartender is to provide excellent customer service to our guests and to be a team player. A Bartender must be able to prepare measured cocktails according to restaurant recipes and serve alcohol responsibly to guests of legal drinking age. All drinks must be produced on the service bar following the steps of service.

Responsibilities:

1. Mix all ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks according to restaurant recipes and specifications.
2. Accurately pour wine, liquor, and beer following proper pour amounts.
3. Check identification of anyone looking to purchase alcohol.
4. Produce beverages for guests and for tickets printed on the service bar.
5. Maintain a clean work area, including the bar, bar top, cocktail area, beer coolers, and liquor room.
6. Wash all glassware and bar utensils after each use.
7. Serve all bar patrons with an upbeat attitude while following the steps of service.
8. Properly and accurately ring each item made or requested in MICROS and perform proper cash handling techniques.
9. Possess extensive knowledge of all food and drinks served.
10. Appear and act in a professional manner.
11. Serve responsibly and take proper steps to deny service when necessary.
12. Stock and restock the bar as needed.
13. Perform all posted side work each shift, including cleaning duties.
14. Complete all training provided by management.
15. Maintain performance standards and motivate the team through positive role modeling.
16. Maintain a valid and state-accepted alcohol compliance certification.
17. Perform additional responsibilities as requested by management.

Qualifications:

1. This position requires standing for 100% of the time.
2. Adhere to management's uniform policy at all times.
3. Report to work as scheduled.
4. Maintain control over alcohol sales and incidents.
5. Occasional exposure to heat and cold environments.
6. Transport up to 80 pounds occasionally and 35 pounds regularly.
7. Reaching, bending, stooping, and wiping are required.
8. Hands may frequently be immersed in water.
