Job summary

Levity Live, LLC's Chicago Improv venue is seeking outgoing bartenders to join a fast-paced team delivering memorable hospitality during shows. If you enjoy collaborating with staff and guests, this is a hands-on role that thrives on quick service and accuracy.

You will balance cash, process payments at the POS, verify legal drinking age, and coordinate with servers to keep bars stocked, clean, and ready for peak moments. Shifts start in the afternoon and extend into evenings on show nights.

Qualifications

• Consistently demonstrate a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Be able to stand and or walk for an 8-10-hour shift.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly hospitality and top-notch guest service.
• Ensure beverage stations are stocked, cleaned, and ready for service.
• Verify age and monitor responsible alcohol service.
• Balance cash and process payments accurately at shift end.
• Maintain a clean, fast-paced bar area during shows for high-volume orders.
• Collaborate with servers and runners to keep service flow smooth and stations ready.
• Offer improvements when issues arise to enhance guest experience.
• Operate POS to process payments correctly and efficiently.

The Chicago Improv is looking for outgoing and energetic Bartenders to join the team. Before you apply, take a look at the job duties below:

• Have a passion for true hospitality!
• Must love taking care of all guests! We strive to create a memorable experience for all patrons, so top-notch customer service is a must.
• Ensure beverage stations are locked, loaded, and cleaned so they are ready for service.
• Make sure that everyone ordering alcohol is old enough to legally partake and identify if a guest needs to cease drinking to avoid over intoxication.
• Be attentive to whether a guest needs to find transportation home due to alcohol intake and inform appropriate members of management.
• Get into your math groove as you will have to balance your money at the end of each shift.
• Multi-task ensuring bar is kept clean and orderly while preparing drinks to recipe specifications at the highest speeds possible. We get busy quickly on show nights as everyone orders at the same time, right before the show starts!
• Put your tech hat on while using the POS ensuring payments are received and processed correctly.
• Partner with servers, bussers, and or runners to ensure service stations and floor areas are set-up, maintained, and broken down correctly.
• Give us suggestions on how to enhance service whenever a breakdown is identified, we want to hear from you!

Minimum Qualifications

Must have availability Wednesday - Sunday. Shifts start at 3:00 pm.
