Job summary

Drunk Shakespeare Chicago is hiring for servers and bartenders to join our theatre-themed team. This is a part-time, evening-focused role in a lively venue, with shifts roughly 5:30pm–10pm on weekdays and 3:30pm–12am on weekends.

Candidates should have weekend and holiday availability; bartending or box office experience is a plus, but we train motivated individuals. All front-of-house staff share production and service duties, and tips are pooled to reward teamwork.

Qualifications

• Weekend and holiday availability is required.
• Experience in serving or bartending is a plus but training provided.
• Theatre box office experience is a bonus.
• Must be 21+.

Responsibilities

• Assist with running box office / checking IDs.
• Assist with set up and clean up.
• Serving drinks to guests during the duration of the play.
• Assist Bar Manager/Bartender with all aspects of bar maintenance and execution.
• Stock bar area, prepare garnishes, light food prep.
• Maintain theatre and bar area, running laundry, cleaning and stocking bathrooms.
• Consolidate trash in the basement & move to sidewalk for twice weekly pick-up.

The hit comedy, DRUNK SHAKESPEARE, is hiring in Chicago! We are looking for savvy professionals to join our team of multi-talented support staff. Candidates must have weekend and holiday availability.

Weekday shifts will run approximately 5:30pm-10pm

Weekend shifts can vary, with staff working 4-7 hours between 3:30pm and 12am

This is a part-time position.

While we look for candidates with backgrounds in cocktail bartending and service; Theater box office experience is a bonus, but not required. We are willing to train smart, motivated people. All FOH staff share production and service responsibilities, splitting tips among bar and FOH. We value friendly, hardworking multi-taskers who place guest experience above all else.

Actively seeking employees who are eager to cross-train on Bar. Bartending experience is a plus.

All employees must be 21.

Working as a team, all employees will:
