Ninety-two quintessential, California-styled suites and bungalows, terraced grounds featuring seven acres of beautifully landscaped gardens with sweeping views of Santa Barbara and the Pacific Ocean. As a Bartender at El Encanto, A Belmond Hotel, you will:

1. Be an integral part of a team that brings innovation to beverages and guest experiences.
2. Work with colleagues to craft exceptional cocktails using premium spirits, locally sourced ingredients, and unique flavors.
3. Engage with guests to understand their preferences and create personalized cocktails, enhancing the luxury atmosphere.

Requirements:

• Maintain high standards of beverage quality, sanitation, and storage procedures.
• Ensure proper portion control, presentation, and service standards.
• Follow labor schedules and work assignments.
• Possess knowledge of daily events, hotel history, and statistics.
• Requisition liquors and supplies; stock and organize the bar.
• Prepare garnishes and mix drinks according to recipes.
• Serve wine, liquor, and beer; adhere to grooming standards.
• Respond to guest requests and participate in shift briefings.
• Complete side work and manage opening, running, and closing procedures.
• Use resources responsibly, communicate effectively, and comply with safety policies.
• Attend training and demonstrate Belmond’s core values of Care, Confidence, Curiosity, and Community.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; technical bartender certification preferred.
• 1-2 years of hotel or bar experience preferred.
• Knowledge of beverages, including wines, liquors, and beers.
• Fluent in English, with good communication skills.
• Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and customer service.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform related tasks.

Compensation is $16 per hour plus tips.
