Job summary

Courtyard San Diego Mission Valley/Hotel Circle is seeking a bartender to join a fast-paced, casual restaurant setting. You will craft handcrafted cocktails, engage guests with a vibrant personality, and contribute to a lively bar scene open most days.

Expect 1-2 shifts per week with additional shifts as needed, supporting a welcoming, high-energy environment. Ideal candidates bring hands-on mixology skills, a passion for guest service, and knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer.

Qualifications

• 21+ years old to serve alcohol.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Prior bartending experience in a hotel or similar environment preferred but training available.

Responsibilities

• Bartenders deliver exceptional guest experiences; prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for all patrons; educate guests on beverage offerings and maximize beverage sales; assess guest needs and make recommendations.

Responsibilities

Bartenders are responsible for consistently delivering exceptional guest experiences to all that come through our door. Duties include preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for all patrons, maximizing tasting bar and overall beverage sales by educating guests on beverage offerings, assess and anticipate guest needs, and make recommendations

Requirements

• Prior bartending experience in a hotel establishment or similar environment is ideal, but willing to train the food service professional looking to grow their career in the hospitality industry
• 21+ years old to serve alcohol
• Intimate knowledge of - and experience with - various spirits, classic cocktails, beer, & wine
• TIPS/ServSafe Alcohol Certification is a plus
• Knowledge of retail math for handling cash transactions
• Familiarity with basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating drink prices
• Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures
• Excellent English communication skills and able to read, write and speak fluently

$19.00 per hour
