Job summary

Via 313 SLC 8th & 9th is seeking experienced bartenders to deliver great cocktails and exceptional hospitality in a fast-paced bar. You’ll mix drinks, engage guests, and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere from shift to shift.

You’ll need at least 2 years of bartending experience and 1 year crafting cocktails, with 21+ compliance for Utah. Bar training can increase base pay and tips as you grow your skills with the team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages in Utah.
• At least 2 years of bartending experience in a restaurant environment.
• At least 1 year of craft cocktail experience.
• Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and classic cocktails.
• A friendly, outgoing personality and genuine passion for hospitality.
• Dependability, strong communication skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to stay organized and work efficiently during busy shifts.
• A team-first mindset and commitment to responsible alcohol service.
• Valid Food Handler Certification or ability to obtain it upon hire.
• Utah-approved On-Premise Alcohol Server Training certification, or ability to complete the required training before serving alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages according to Via 313 recipes and standards.
• Create welcoming, memorable experiences for every guest.
• Share menu knowledge and recommend beverages that complement our food.
• Verify guest identification and follow Utah alcohol service laws and company policies.
• Monitor alcohol consumption and practice responsible beverage service.
• Keep the bar clean, stocked, organized, and ready for service.
• Accurately process orders and payments through our point-of-sale system.
• Follow recipes, portion standards, and beverage preparation procedures.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Work closely with servers, hosts, kitchen staff, and management to deliver excellent service.
• Bring a positive attitude and help create a workplace everyone enjoys being part of.

A Day in the Life

Every day behind the bar is a little different, and that's what makes it fun!

As a Bartender at Via 313, you'll do more than mix drinks. You'll create memorable guest experiences, build relationships with regulars, and help make every visit something special.

Some moments you'll be crafting cocktails and recommending the perfect drink to pair with our genuine Detroit-style pizza. Other moments you'll be welcoming guests, preparing the bar for a busy shift, and working alongside your teammates to keep service running smoothly.

You’ll take pride in delivering excellent hospitality while following Utah's responsible alcohol service requirements.
