Job summary

SSP America in Saint Paul, MN seeks an experienced Bartender to join our team. You will handle drink preparation, take orders, and serve guests in a fast-paced setting, promoting exceptional service.

The role requires 1 year bartending experience with relevant certifications, good English communication, and the ability to operate a POS system while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years old.
• One year bartending experience required with state/federal/local training.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service.
• Fluent in English, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Process orders and enter accurately into the POS.
• Receive payment and make change.
• Serve drinks and food to guests.
• Transfer supplies between storage and work areas.
• Keep the work area clean throughout the day.
• Clean equipment, remove trash, sweep and mop.
• Other duties as assigned.

Here are a few things you can expect when you join our team as a Bartender

• Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system.
• Receive payment from the customer and process change.
• Serve cold, frozen, and hot drinks as well as a wide variety of food items to guests.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Ensure that the work area is clean throughout the day.
• Clean equipment and utensils, removes trash, sweep and mop work area, dust and clean.
• Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate for this position has:

• Minimum of 21 years old
• One year bartending experience required, including certification by state, federal, or local required training program.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages.
• Verbal and written English language
• Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders.
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand weights and measurements.
• Ability to operate a keyboard & point of sale procedures to pre-check and order & close out a check.
• Ability to work and stand in confined spaces for long periods of time.
