Job summary

Shindigs is seeking an experienced, high-energy bartender for our busy restaurant and live-music venue in Riverside. You will craft cocktails, pour beers and wines, and deliver friendly service while maintaining speed during peak hours.

The role requires staying organized, communicating well with staff, and ensuring guest satisfaction at all times. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of bartending experience, strong knowledge of drinks, and a willingness to handle opening/closing duties and

Qualifications

• 2+ years of bartending experience in a full-service restaurant or high-volume bar.
• Strong working knowledge of spirits, cocktails, beer, and wine.
• Ability to make common classic cocktails confidently and consistently.
• Strong sense of urgency while maintaining accuracy and guest service.
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
• Comfortable handling multiple guests, service tickets, and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare beer, wine, classic cocktails, and Shindigs specialty drinks accurately.
• Deliver friendly, attentive service while maintaining speed during high-volume shifts.
• Take guest orders, operate the POS system, process payments, and maintain accurate tabs.
• Maintain proper drink recipes, pours, presentation, and portion standards.
• Check identification and follow all responsible alcohol-service requirements.
• Recognize signs of intoxication and handle alcohol-service situations professionally.
• Maintain a clean, organized, stocked bar and guest-ready area during shifts.
• Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and bar supplies.
• Prepare the bar for service and complete opening/closing/stocking tasks.
• Communicate with servers, barbacks, kitchen staff, and managers to keep service running smoothly.
• Support teammates during busy nights, live music, and events.
• Help create the welcoming, energetic, and professional atmosphere Shindigs is known for.

We’re looking for an experienced, high-energy bartender who knows how to deliver great drinks and even better hospitality in a busy restaurant and live-music environment. The right person can move quickly without sacrificing quality, connect naturally with guests, stay organized under pressure, and work as part of a team when the bar gets busy.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare beer, wine, classic cocktails, and Shindigs specialty drinks accurately and consistently

• Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and other bar supplies as needed
• Prepare the bar for service and complete assigned opening, closing, cleaning, stocking, and side-work responsibilities
• Communicate with servers, barbacks, kitchen staff, and managers to keep service running smoothly
• Support teammates and jump in wherever needed during busy nights, live music, and special events
• Help create the welcoming, energetic, and professional atmosphere Shindigs is known for

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of bartending experience in a full-service restaurant or high-volume bar preferred
• Strong working knowledge of spirits, cocktails, beer, and wine
• Ability to make common classic cocktails confidently and consistently
• Strong sense of urgency while maintaining accuracy and guest service
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills
• Comfortable handling multiple guests, service tickets, and priorities at the same time
• Friendly, outgoing personality with a genuine sense of hospitality
• Dependable, punctual, team-oriented, and calm under pressure
• Willingness to complete opening, closing, cleaning, stocking, and other responsibilities — not just work the bar top
• Must be at least 21 years old
  
• Must obtain and maintain valid California ABC Responsible Beverage Service certification within the required timeframe.
  
• Must obtain and maintain a valid Riverside County Food Handler Certificate.
• Friday and Saturday evening availability is strongly preferred
