Job description

The Bartender is responsible for providing guests with a positive dining experience through excellent product knowledge, strong sales skills and a positive attitude. Responsible for all bar product, proper transacting, preparing and dispensing of beverages.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provides excellent guest service according to expectations outlined in the training portal
  • Carries out all tasks necessary to prepare the restaurant for service prior to pre-shift
  • Has knowledge of cocktails, follows recipes and uses standard measurements.
  • Uses suggestive selling/recommendation approach on the menu, applying thorough product knowledge
  • Rings orders and performs all necessary additional functions in the POS system
  • Checks identification of all guests under the age of 30
  • Does NOT serve intoxicated guests and communicates about any and all impaired guests to MOD
  • Maintains accurate financial records of the shift, including all discounts and comps
  • Maintains clean and safe work area
  • Completes daily and weekly side work responsibilities on a consistent and thorough basis
  • Assists other team members as necessary
  • Completes additional tasks as assigned by the management team
  • Keeps management informed of any problems, complaints from guests or other team members
  • Follows all company policies as outlined in company handbook
Accountabilities
  • Addresses all guests in a positive and professional way, promoting company standards in providing quality product and service
  • Takes all actions with the guest’s best interest in mind, so as to continue to build new business and to avoid guest complaints
  • Adheres to all Bartender expectations as defined in the training manual at 100%
