Job summary

Global Ambassador Hotel in Phoenix seeks an experienced bartender to deliver exceptional service and manage guest needs with a personal touch. You will know cocktails, garnishes, glassware, and pricing while working with a dedicated team in a luxury setting.

The role requires at least 2+ years of bartending experience, ServSafe and TIPs certifications, and the ability to work legally in the United States. A friendly personality and strong math/POS skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years like volume bartending experience.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.
• ServSafe and Tips certified.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
• Must have a great personality, desire to serve guests, and enjoy working as part of a team.
• Must possess basic math skills and the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
• Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Must be able to safely lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to work on holidays and/or weekend.

Responsibilities

• Make all guests feel comfortable and let them know you’re there to personally take care of them.
• Know the brands of beer, wine and liquor offered for consumption, as well as the ingredients to the most asked cocktails, the garnishes they require, the proper glassware, and price.
• Inform guests of specialty drinks and make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy.
• Receive and understand beverage orders and repeat them to the guests and/or servers and enter orders in the point-of-sale system.
• Maintain cash bank and follow established cash handling procedures.
• Continuously watch for signs of intoxication and practice all alcoholic beverage laws, policies and regulations.
• Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required.
• Always maintain a clean and safe work area, free from dirty glassware, plastic cups, beer bottles.
• Perform and document physical inventory counts at direction of General Manager or Restaurant Manager.
• Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change (if applicable).
• Participate in proactive communication to help avoid and solve operational, HR, and financial issues.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the bar as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.

What You’ll Do
