Job Overview

Upstream Brewing is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Bartender to join our team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, craft beers, and cocktails to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for guests, ensuring their satisfaction and enjoyment throughout their visit
• Take customer orders, including both beverages and food, accurately and efficiently
• Prepare and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including craft beers, cocktails, and specialty drinks
• Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines while handling and serving beverages
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including stocking and replenishing supplies as needed
• Engage with guests, build relationships, and provide exceptional customer service
• Assist in creating new and innovative drink recipes, while also maintaining consistency in taste and presentation
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and responsibly, following all cash-handling procedures
• Stay up-to-date with current industry trends, new products, and brewing techniques
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth operations and efficient service
• Adhere to all responsible serving and drinking regulations and policies

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Bartender, preferably in a high-volume establishment
• Strong knowledge of mixology, craft beers, and wine, with the ability to recommend and pair beverages with food
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with customers
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure, while maintaining a friendly and positive attitude
• Attention to detail in preparing and garnishing beverages, ensuring accuracy and consistency
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Knowledge of local and state alcohol serving regulations
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods of time
