The Shore and Country Club is seeking motivated and enthusiastic bartenders.
Key Responsibilities
- Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to order, entering charges on members' accounts using the POS system.
- Maintain the bar in a clean, organized condition and keep it stocked.
- Manage storage areas, ensuring they are clean, organized, stocked, and secured.
- Prepare drinks for staff or serve directly to members.
- Stock bar and portable bars for banquets and club events.
- Wash equipment and deliver glasses to the dishwasher.
- Provide service to members and guests.
- Assist in monthly beverage inventory.
- Contribute to the development of specialty cocktails.
- Prepare garnishes and mixers for drinks.
- Maintain adequate supplies of beverages by taking periodic inventories with the manager.
- Follow guidelines for proper portion control and comply with Connecticut Alcoholic Beverage Control laws.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
We are looking for candidates available to work 35-40 hours per week, with weekend availability required.
Candidate Qualifications
- Minimum two years of bartending experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Service-oriented team player with a strong work ethic.
- Professional, enthusiastic, positive attitude.
- Willing to learn and adapt to new tasks.
- Proactive in individual and team settings.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods.
