Job description

Golfzon Social is now open in Brooklyn, NY! We are excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Bartender at our new location Downtown Brooklyn at 11 Hoyt Street. The Bartender makes and serves guests delicious beverages in accordance with established standards and with hospitality and professionalism. Golfzon Social is an exciting new Sports Bar and Restaurant anchored by a Golf Lounge with high-tech indoor golf simulators.

Compensation : $16.5 / hour PLUS Tips. Full time employees qualify for medical, dental benefits and PTO.

PART-TIME and FULL-TIME positions available

Reports to the Front Desk Managers, Director of Food and Beverage, and General Manager.

  • Stocks bar, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages, assists in cost control, inventory and maintaining inventory records.
  • Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products. Communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by the management.
  • Communicates guest requests and concerns to the Management Team.
  • Performs opening and closing duties which include, but are not limited to : inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking.
  • Accountable for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes Point of Sales System.
  • On occasion serves meals to guests as needed.
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements :

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Requirements :

  • Open availability, seven days per week, for both opening and closing shifts
  • Professional accountability to report for shifts timely and consistently
  • Experience in restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems (e.g., Toast, POSITOUCH and MICROS)
  • Experience with hotel, restaurant, catering companies as a bartender
  • Passion for providing extraordinary service
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Warm and friendly personality with a great sense of humor

Physical Demands :

Frequently stands, walks, talks, listens, and uses hands. Regularly reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches; tastes, smells and sits. Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds. Occasionally may lift up to 50 pounds.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences :

  • Knowledge of wine, spirits, beer and current trends in industry and marketplace
  • Possesses knowledge of classic cocktail recipes
  • Professional and courteous demeanor
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to company values
  • Exceptional personal hygiene and positive representation of the organization to Troon employees, clients and vendors
  • Fluent in English speaking, writing and understanding
  • Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
