The Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking an experienced Bartender for the 33 Seaport Hotel NYC in New York, NY. You will serve beverages and food to guests in a courteous and timely manner, assist other servers with beverage preparation, and operate as a lounge cashier.

A single year of bartender experience and food handlers certification are required, with compensation in the NYC range plus tips. Responsibilities include maintaining bar setup, stocking supplies, greeting guests, mixing drinks

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper and adequate bar setup daily, stocking beer, wine, spirits, garnishes and condiments.
• Stock and cut fresh fruit and perishables; ensure product quality.
• Greet guests, take and document drink orders, mix and present drinks per recipes.
• Abide by State, Federal and Corporate requirements for serving alcohol.
• Input orders into POS, balance checks, and handle cash accurately.
• Lock up and secure all beverage and bar equipment, and deposit cash drops as needed.
• Be available to work regular shifts and perform other duties as assigned.

Description

The 33 Seaport Hotel NYC has an immediate openings for an experienced, energetic, outgoing and customer service oriented to fill the position of Bartender. In this role, you will be serving beverages and/or food to the guests in a friendly, courteous and timely and manner, resulting in guest satisfaction. Also, to prepare beverages for other servers to supply to guests, and act as cashier for the lounge.

What will you be doing?

Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet

Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to insure product quality.

Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promote and documents orders for drinks. Mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.

Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.

Input orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest, including those served by other beverage servers, to maintain accountability of all beverages served.

Receive cash from guests, make any change needed, verify validity of charges, record charges, and insure vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all moneys.

Lock up and stores all beverage, food and other equipment items, deposit cash drops and secures bank.

Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.

Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

What is required?

One year of experience as a Bartender.

Tips (or equivalent) and Food handlers certifications.

Ability to work in a busy fast-paced environment.

For applicants who will be working in NYC, the anticipated compensation range for the position is $16 - $18.00 per hour plus tips. The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, work location, etc. Crescent Hotels is a multi-state employer and the salary ranges indicated herein may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
