Job summary

Big Fish in Myrtle Beach is seeking experienced bartenders for their new seafood restaurant. You will run a high-volume service bar, create excellent cocktails, and ensure top-notch hospitality. Join the opening team and help shape the cocktail menu in a vibrant setting.

The ideal candidate has over 2 years of bartending experience and is passionate about delivering great drinks and customer service. Flexible scheduling and a path to leadership roles are part of the opportunity.

Qualifications

• 2+ years bartending in full-service, high-volume environments.
• Ability to handle high-pressure service and still maintain quality.
• 21+ and SC responsible alcohol server training required.

About Big Fish

Big Fish is a new seafood and American restaurant opening at Broadway at the Beach. Great food, relaxed room, live music, sports on every screen. The bar is right next to it — busy, social, central to the room.

We're building the opening bar team. We want bartenders who can handle volume, mix a real drink, and run their bar like it's theirs.

The job

You run a high-volume service bar and a packed guest-facing bar. Make great drinks. Take care of bar guests like they're at their favorite spot. Knock out service-bar tickets for the dining room. Lead the room during live music and game nights. We're putting real money into the bar program — cocktails, beer list, smart wine — and we'll train you on all of it.

Day to day

• Build cocktails to spec, every time, even slammed
• Pour beer and wine to standard, and know what's on the list
• Take care of bar guests — full food and drink, conversation, hospitality
• Service-bar tickets for the dining room without dropping your bar guests
• Cash, cards, tabs, accurate end-of-night
• Bar setup, breakdown, restocking, clean and organized station
• Pour to standard, follow alcohol service rules, know when to cut someone off
• Help train new bartenders and barbacks as we grow

You

• 2+ years bartending in full-service, high-volume
• You know cocktails — classics, modern builds, how to read a guest
• Solid beer and wine fundamentals, willing to learn our list cold
• Fast without sacrificing quality — six drinks up and you can still smile at table 12
• A leader behind the bar — guests come for you, your team trusts you
• Open for nights, weekends, holidays, event nights
• 21+ (SC requirement for bartenders)
• SC responsible alcohol server training (or you can get it before your first shift)
• Can stand for long shifts and lift cases
