Job Description

Department: Operations

Location: Theater

Reports to: General Manager

Job Duties

• Greet guests at all bar areas with a smile and warm hospitality, embodying excellent service.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, using upselling techniques.
• Create a memorable experience by having full knowledge of menu items and making recommendations.
• Check IDs to ensure guests meet minimum age requirements for alcohol consumption.
• Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks following standard recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness by cleaning glasses, utensils, equipment, and bussing tables.
• Implement alcohol service and safety protocols, including responsible serving and intervention when necessary.
• Manage stock levels and communicate inventory needs to the Bar Supervisor.
• Wash and sanitize stemware properly.
• Process payments accurately and promptly for a smooth guest experience.
• Handle guest complaints and requests professionally or direct to appropriate resources.
• Complete opening, mid, and closing procedures, including side work.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Must be 18 years or older.
• At least 1 year of bartending experience with a full bar.
• ServSafe and Alcohol training certifications are required.
• Ability to operate Vista Point of Sale System and perform basic math.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Organized, able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a positive attitude.
• Flexible availability including nights, holidays, and weekends.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

Employees will walk, stand, and bend frequently, handle and reach with hands and arms, and lift up to 50 pounds with assistance when necessary. The work environment involves typical theater noise levels and activity.
