Summary of Position
As a Bartender at SoNapa Grille, you will be responsible for exceeding customer expectations by providing friendly, prompt, and attentive service tailored to each guest's pace and needs.
Responsibilities
- Complete the SoNapa Grille server experience before beginning bar training.
- Manage guest experience and pace following hospitality standards.
- Create a memorable first and last impression by showcasing your personality.
- Use extensive food and beverage knowledge to share favorites and recommend options.
- Anticipate needs, process orders, and handle payments hospitably and promptly.
- Follow state and local guidelines for responsible service.
- Have deep knowledge of the wine list, including varietals, flavor profiles, and winery history.
- Craft drinks efficiently following recipes and serve responsibly.
- Use tools like jiggers and measuring devices to ensure recipe adherence and financial accountability.
- Possess extensive menu knowledge to recommend and reinforce customer orders.
- Assist servers with wine, spirits, and beer questions.
- Maintain safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards during shifts.
- Serve responsibly and report any intoxicated guests to leadership.
- Handle money responsibly.
- Support restaurant operations as needed.
- Follow leadership directions while supporting SoNapa Grille's mission.
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Ability to engage guests and team in a hospitable manner.
- Advanced knowledge of full-service restaurant operations.
- High level of money handling experience.
- Ability to work 5-6 hours on your feet.
- Ability to follow leadership directions.
