Job summary

SSP America is seeking a bartender for our IND Airport portfolio in Indianapolis. The position offers full-time hours with compensation starting at $6.00 per hour plus tips, with an average total hourly pay around $22–$24.

Benefits include paid vacation and sick time, and free paid parking. Ideal candidates are at least 21 years old, with basic knowledge of beverage preparation and service, fluent English, and the ability to handle cash and use a POS system.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Process orders and enter them into the POS system accurately.
• Receive payment from customers and process change.
• Serve cold, frozen, and hot drinks as well as a variety of foods.
• Transfer supplies between storage and work areas.
• Maintain a clean work area throughout the day.
• Clean equipment and utensils; remove trash, sweep and mop.
• Other duties as assigned.

Here are a few things you can expect when you join our team as a Bartender:

• Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system.
• Receive payment from the customer and process change.
• Serve cold, frozen, and hot drinks as well as a wide variety of food items to guests.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Ensure that the work area is clean throughout the day.
• Clean equipment and utensils, removes trash, sweep and mop work area, dust and clean.
• Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate for this position has:

• Minimum of 21 years old
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages.
• Verbal and written English language
• Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders.
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand weights and measurements.
• Brand certification as required.
• Ability to operate a keyboard & point of sale procedures to pre-check and order & close out a check.
• Ability to work and stand in confined spaces for long periods of time.
