Position: Bartender
We are looking for a professional, high‑energy bartender with excellent communication skills to serve classic cocktails & exciting new beverages to our members. The bartender will greet members, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items.
To succeed as a bartender here, you should have a neat appearance & an engaging, friendly personality. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable & personable.
Position Description
- Position: Bartender
- Reports to: Director of Hospitality
- Position Summary: Prepare and serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages.
Essential Duties
- Inspect the bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are available
- Request additional supplies as necessary per the par stock prep sheet
- Follow set‑up procedures
- Prepare garnishes, mix and pre‑mixed drinks
- Greet members and guests
- Take drink & food orders
- Check identification to ensure legal age to purchase alcohol
- Adhere to all food safety & quality regulations
- Mix, prepare and serve drinks according to the recipes approved by Bar Manager
- Report member or guest complaints to a manager as soon as they occur
- Maintain and clean bar area and equipment
- Maintain records of liquors, beers, wine and sundries to ensure par stock is maintained at all times
- Maintain daily inventory and records indicating drinks in the greatest demand
- Clean and lock‑up according to prescribed procedures
- Attend staff meetings as requested by the Bar Manager & the Food & Beverage Director

- Lifting/Carrying: 1‑10 lbs up to a height of 8’ for 25’ frequently; and 11‑50 lbs from waist to shoulder for 25’ occasionally.
- Actions and motions: balancing, twisting, reaching, handling frequently; and pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, squatting, kneeling, fingering, repetitive and hand motion occasionally.
- Equipment: use of tools and equipment frequently.
- Environmental Conditions: exposure to vibration and noise occasionally.
- Equipment consists of cappuccino machine, blender, computer.
Education & Experience
- Have or obtain TABC Certification.
- Have or obtain Food Handlers Certification.
