Job summary

Golden Valley Golf and Country is seeking a bar/server staff member in Minnesota. You will provide friendly, prompt, professional service at the bar and dining areas for members and guests.

Responsibilities include checking IDs, stocking, upselling, coordinating with kitchen, and maintaining cleanliness while complying with health rules. Hours vary including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays; tips-based pay.

Qualifications

• Check IDs and monitor alcohol consumption.
• Set up and stock bar at shift start and as needed.
• Inspect bar areas and maintain cleanliness.
• Assist coworkers with clearing, serving and resetting tables.
• Upsell food and drink specials and promote events.
• Adhere to health regulations and menu specifications.

Customer Service

• Check ID's as appropriate. Monitor alcohol consumption and notify manager as needed.
• Set-up and stock bar at beginning of shift and as needed.
• Inspect bar areas at end of shift to ensure everything is returned to its proper area and all areas are thoroughly cleaned and ready for the next shift.
• Readily assist co-workers as needed including assisting with clearing, serving, resetting tables or stocking.
• Other duties as assigned or apparent.
• Up-sell food and drink specials.
• Promote all upcoming events throughout the club.

Operations and Compliance

• Communicate any special food orders to kitchen staff and ensure orders are prepared to the guests expectations.
• Verify ages of customers who order alcohol. Monitor alcohol consumption.
• Attend all new menu tastings and department meetings.
• Ensure all areas are kept clean and in compliance with state and federal health department rules and regulations.

Physical Requirements

• While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods of time, use hands and fingers, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
