JOB SUMMARY
The Bartender is responsible for providing gracious, kind, and warm service that creates an exciting environment and offers World‑Class Service with Old‑World Hospitality and Charm for the casino guests. The position serves alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages, maintains a high standard of cleanliness per food service sanitation codes, and delivers orders with a focus on departmental goals of consistency, quality, and a sense of urgency.
Pay Range: $20.79 - $23.10/hour.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Arrive on time and attend the pre‑shift meeting with a positive attitude and participate openly.
- Consistently provide an exciting environment and World‑Class Service, demonstrating Old‑World Hospitality and Charm, and live the company core values.
- Comply with department standards, guidelines, and objectives, including all Food Service, Sanitation, OSHA, and HazCom standards.
- Provide high‑quality food and beverage service to all guests, adhering to sequence of service standards.
- Utilize upselling techniques.
- Follow all standardized recipes.
- Safeguard company assets and strictly adhere to all policies and procedures.
- Maintain responsibility for all funds during assigned shift.
- Create teamwork by assisting co‑workers with essential functions.
- Balance all money transactions and paperwork.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including attendance and appearance guidelines, and protect guest confidentiality.
- Be alert for fraud, forged currency, or counterfeit vouchers.
- Prepare reconciliation reports for funds under responsibility.
- Practice all alcohol awareness policies and procedures.
- Keep a clear and organized work area, cleaning spills immediately.
- Handle chemicals responsibly and store them in properly labeled containers.
- Assist the supervisor in putting supplies away using the 5S Principles and date all items with the current date.
- Conduct oneself in a gracious, kind, and warm manner that reflects positively on the company.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by department and/or company management.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
In addition to the other duties described herein, every Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:
- Attend required training sessions offered by the casino.
- Obtain required license(s).
- Perform duties in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
- Be knowledgeable of ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures related to the Team Member’s department.
- Know the property’s programs to address problem gambling.
- Consult with appropriate individuals and maintain effective written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with state regulations and systems of internal controls.
- Investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to the appropriate levels of management.
- Report any acts of wrongdoing by staff members.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age; high school diploma or equivalent required. Prior bartending experience preferred. Attention to detail and accuracy, and ability to maintain confidential information.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
Must have ability to:
- Accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform math functions applicable to business needs.
- Interpret and follow a variety of written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.
- Resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically and tactfully.
- Be flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
- Be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations; push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Perform movement tasks such as push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance in varying work areas.
