Job Description - BARTENDER/SERVER, TENTH WARD DISTILLING COMPANY

Tenth Ward is a craft distillery established in 2016, located in downtown Frederick, Maryland. We are a woman-owned, locally operated business specializing in unconventional spirits and elevated cocktails.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work set bar shifts every weekend, serving guests, mixing cocktails, pouring spirit flights, and maintaining the bar's cleanliness and organization.
• Participate in staff meetings, sell bottles and canned cocktails to-go, and complete all required sidework.
• Perform bar prep work such as cutting garnishes, making syrups, cleaning, restocking, marrying bottles, filling ice, selling retail bottles and merchandise, and upselling club memberships.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to management.
• Follow Tenth Ward recipes to craft elevated cocktails.
• Engage with customers to educate them about craft spirits and cocktails, representing Tenth Ward professionally.
• Achieve sales goals related to bottle/can sales and new club sign-ups.
• Stay updated with industry standards, trends, and participate in required training.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the restaurant, bar, or hospitality industry.
• Mixology experience is a plus.
• Ability to work efficiently during busy periods.
• Attention to detail to support product quality and brand standards.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Work Environment & Requirements:

• Must be over 21, able to lift 50 lbs, and stand for most of the day.

Job Details:

Type: Part-time

Pay: Starting from $15.00/hour
