Job summary

The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio at Hersheypark is hiring a part-time team member to greet guests, take orders, and serve food and beverages in a friendly, efficient manner.

You will operate the POS system, handle cash and card transactions, keep dining and bar areas clean, follow safety guidelines, and support opening/closing duties while delivering outstanding guest service. Perks include free admission and parking to Hersheypark and employee discounts.

Join the team at The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio, a year round, full service restaurant located at Hersheypark. The Chocolatier serves up family fare with a fun spin, and hints of chocolate for lunch and dinner. The space features past and present pieces from the Hersheypark ride collection, one-of-a-kind views of neighboring attractions, and a second-story patio and bar. The Chocolatier celebrates the life and legacy of our founder, Milton S. Hershey, by continuing to bring people together for happiness, fun, and of course, chocolate.

This position is responsible for the professional, courteous greeting and serving of food and beverage to guests at The Chocolatier.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

• Properly prepare and serve all alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to brand specs and menu description.*
• Maintain a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.*
• Greet customers, take orders, and enter orders into the POS system. Use menu knowledge to answer questions, offer suggestions, and anticipate guest needs.*
• Understand and follow all food safety regulations set by the Department of Agriculture.*
• Understand and follow all state alcohol service standards and guidelines. Visually assure age identification is legitimate.*
• Operate the point of sale system, handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions. Ensure charges are accurate and return correct change to patrons and balance the cash register.*
• Deliver excellent customer service to each client and monitor patrons to ensure satisfaction with service. Maintain a safe environment by identifying problem clients and having them removed.*
• Take inventory and order supplies to ensure the bar and tables are well-stocked.*
• Perform all aspects of opening and closing procedures.*
• Perform other duties as assigned.
