Job summary

Five Iron Golf Detroit LLC is seeking motivated bartenders to join our team in Detroit. You will greet guests, take orders, make recommendations, and prepare beverages and light fare with hospitality-driven service.

The role is part-time, non-exempt, with scheduling including nights and weekends. A positive attitude, energy, the ability to work quickly in a team, and basic licensing requirements are required. Pay starts at $11 per hour plus tips; benefits available for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in server, bar, or hospitality encouraged but not required.
• Ability to obtain proper licensing and certifications for the location.
• Meet state minimum age to bartend.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to guests, ensuring a fun and enjoyable experience.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items and alcohol offerings; upsell where appropriate.
• Use point-of-sale terminals to enter orders and process payments.
• Manage inventory and order supplies to keep bar stocked.
• Ensure the bar and simulator areas are clean and guest-ready.
• Assist with closing duties as needed.

Bartenders at Five Iron Golf are dedicated to delivering exceptional service and genuine hospitality. Bartenders greet customers with a smile, learn about their preferences, are helpful in answering any questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages and food.

Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

• Deliver exceptional service to guests, ensuring a fun and enjoyable experience
• Maintain extensive knowledge of our food and beverage offerings. Present menus, answer questions about menu items and alcohol offerings, make recommendations, and use upselling techniques
• Use point-of-sale terminals to enter orders and process payments accurately
• Manage inventory and order supplies to ensure bar is well-stocked
• Ensure the bar and simulator areas are clean and guest-ready
• Create fresh and new ideas for specials, cocktails, and promotions.
• Serve food and beverages in a timely and courteous manner
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all of our technology, additional products, and promotions
• Follow all health and safety regulations regarding food handling, alcohol service, and cleanliness
• Verify guests' legal drinking age
• Assist with closing duties as needed

Required Qualifications:

Server, bar and/or hospitality experience encouraged but NOT required
