Job summary

Renaissance Daytona Beach Oceanfront Hotel in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking a part-time Bartender with prior experience to join our restaurant team. This role requires friendly guest service, accuracy in drink preparation, cash handling, and the ability to work a busy bar environment.

You will take orders, manage beverage service, maintain bar cleanliness, present menus, and collaborate with servers to ensure an exceptional guest experience. Availability 4:00 pm to 2:00 am is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must have a positive attitude and work well with other team members.
• Must be able to work unsupervised.
• Must be available to work at 4:00 pm and as late as 2:00 am.
• Must have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
• Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds.
• Be willing to follow direction and ask questions for clarification if needed.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Non-smoking

Responsibilities

• Takes orders from guests and beverage orders from servers.
• Records drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the register system.
• Accepts guest payments, processes credit card charges and makes change (if applicable).
• Washes and sterilizes glassware.
• Prepares garnishes for drinks and replenishes snacks for bar patrons.
• Maintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages.
• Presents drink menus, makes specific recommendations and answers questions regarding beverages.
• Maintains cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
• Receives and serves food orders to guests seated at the bar.
• Reports all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Assists the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
• Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
• Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
• Notifies Dining Room Supervisor anytime a guest is not IOO% satisfied.

Please come join our team as a Bartender at the restaurant located in the Renaissance Daytona Beach Oceanfront Hotel in Daytona Beach, Florida. We are looking for an experienced bartender. Previous bartending experience is required. Local candidates only, non-smoking position.
