Job summary

Renaissance Riverview Plaza Hotel in Mobile, AL is seeking a dynamic bartender to deliver exceptional service across our bar, pool, and restaurant outlets. You will craft cocktails, pour wine and beer, and ensure a warm, memorable guest experience.

You will maintain inventory, follow ABC rules, participate in daily stand-ups, and promote daily specials while delivering friendly, efficient service at a Marriott-affiliated property offering comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with accurate recipes and proper presentation.
• Serve wine, draught or bottled beer, check customers' identification for legal drinking age.
• Maintain a well-organized bar inventory and ensure adequate supplies for smooth operations.
• Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and serving snacks and drinks promptly.
• Assess guest needs to provide personalized food and drink recommendations.

• Adhere to food and beverage regulations, including responsible alcohol service and safety guidelines.

• Handle liquor orders and requisitions to maintain stock at the bar.
• Prepare garnishes for drinks with attractive presentations.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene by nightly cleaning and floor maintenance.
• Assist with monthly inventory counts and report discrepancies.
• Report gratuities according to company guidelines and federal law.
• Observe ABC board requirements for alcohol service.

Job Description:

As a member of our hospitality team, the primary responsibility of a Bartender is to deliver exceptional customer service in the hotel's Bar, Pool, and Restaurant outlets by creating and serving a variety of cocktails and drinks. This role is essential for creating a positive and enjoyable bar experience for our guests by creating a positive first impression with a warm smile and addressing guests by name whenever possible. This role is responsible for checking customers' identification to ensure they meet the legal drinking age, preparing cocktails and serving wine, draught, or bottled beer, and maintaining inventory and supplies at the bar. A crucial part of this role is to assess guest needs and preferences, make recommendations for food and drinks, and offer daily specials.

• Assist with monthly inventory counts to keep track of stock levels and identify any discrepancies.
• Accurately report gratuities according to company guidelines and federal law.
• Observe and comply with all requirements, training, and restrictions set forth by the Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) board to ensure strict adherence to alcohol service regulations.
