Summary
About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Food and Beverage Facilities for 6 Force Support Squadron.
Requires frequent light to moderate lifting and carrying of objects weighing 5 to 15 pounds, pushing and pulling objects weighing 10 to 20 pound" and occasionally lifting up to and over 40 pounds. Heavier objects such as beer kegs are usually transported with the aid of a dolly.

Duties
Operates limited-service bars. Prepares a limited variety of alcoholic drinks by selecting proper premix and garnish. Serves beer. soda and wine. Serves patrons directly or delivers to waiter. Receives food orders from patrons and relays order to kitchen or serves item, if prepackaged. Receives payment, operates cash register, and makes and returns change to patrons or waiter.
Sets up bar for operation and obtains cash bank. Maintains work area neat and clean and replenishes items as necessary. Washes bar equipment, glassware, and utensils. Stocks service bars and assists higher-level lead/supervisor as required. May unload and inspect items from delivery trucks. Also. may perform heavy duty cleaning tasks such as under and behind refrigerators, under and behind bar equipment or table areas; washing floors and walls, walk-in refrigerators and freezers; and sanitizing garbage cans. May be required to prepare documentation for cash funds accountability.
Maintains health, safety and sanitation IAW established standards. 4. Assists with inventories and identifies items for re-ordering. Performs other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Must have experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale, which includes knowledge of correct proportions and mixtures to use in preparing beverages. Must have experience in serving bar food (i.e. ... pre-packaged sandwiches, chips and any small make to order hot food items). Must be able to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and to resolve the problem or seek assistance if needed. Must be able to follow cash handling procedures. Must be physically able to frequently lift objects weighing 5 to 15 pounds, pull and push objects weighing I0 to 20 pounds, and occasionally lift up to and over 40 pounds. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a physical within 60 days of employment. Must meet the appropriate minimum age requirement for working with and/or serving alcoholic beverages. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training. Must be able to communicate clearly with customers and possess skill in dealing with the public. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
