Job summary

First Light Resorts in Yosemite National Park is hiring an experienced Bartender for their restaurant. You will provide lunch and dinner service, representing the Lodge with exemplary customer service.

Ideal candidates have over 3 years of experience in hospitality, a neat appearance, and a passion for serving. Full-time position available immediately with room and board options. Enjoy working in a scenic location!

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of restaurant/hospitality and/or banquet service experience.
  • Structured training in restaurant/catering service.
  • Some knowledge of drink preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Execute food & beverage service for guests independently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of Tavern.
  • Work split shifts (Lunch/dinner) 3 to 5 days/week.

The Lodge is an amazing place to live, work and play year‑round. We are looking for a talented, experienced Bartender to complete our experienced food & beverage team at the Lodge. Our Bartenders provide lunch and dinner service to guests in our tavern and pool. Our Bartenders also provide service for catered functions and events throughout the year. We look for warm, friendly people with healthy, active lifestyles, high standards and high integrity, who have been top performers in their previous roles and love what they do. We welcome seasonal or career‑oriented applicants.

As a member of this team, applicants will not only represent our great restaurant & tavern, but the wonderful Lodge as well. We will select bartenders who have what it takes to give exemplary customer service to our guests and who are avid team players. Professional demeanor that is friendly and energetic is a must. Appearance needs to be neat, tidy and pressed and smiles must be ever present. Ideal candidates must possess excellent knowledge about food, wine, beverage and service and strive to continue to learn as much as they can.

Qualifications
  • Independently execute food & beverage service for guests
  • Work along with Restaurant Department executing drinks in a timely manner
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of Tavern and supplies
  • Work split shifts (Lunch/dinner) 3 to 5 days/week
  • Lift up to 50 lbs
Ideal qualifications include
  • 3+ years restaurant/hospitality and/or banquet service experience
  • Structured training in restaurant/catering service
  • Some knowledge of, training in and interest in drink preparation
  • Self‑motivated, with experience working independently
  • Takes pride in providing fantastic, warm, caring service
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Enjoys being part of a team
  • Interest in living in a remote lodging environment
  • Leading a healthy, drug‑free lifestyle
    Work environment and Physical demands
    • The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions
    • Frequent walking, twisting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, sitting, climbing stairs
    • Ability to stand and move continuously
    • Lifting up to 50 pounds maximum
    • Stocking, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors
    • Working with required chemicals
    • Shifts of up to 8 hours per day, plus periodic additional overtime hours
    Details
    • $16.00 per hour plus tips
    • Full time position available immediately
    • Position can be year‑round or seasonal
    • Room and board available for fixed weekly cost both Onsite and Offsite
    • Hours variable, including nights and weekends as well as situational/crisis availability; a regular schedule with specific days off will be established
    • Healthcare benefits available after 90 days
    • 401K eligible with company match after 1 year
