Job Description: Bartender
Position Classification: Part-Time / Non-Exempt
Reports To: Manager on Duty
Position Summary
The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards. You’ll provide excellent guest service, maintain a clean and organized bar, and ensure that every drink and interaction reflects the Cody's Original Roadhouse brand.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes.
- Greet guests, learn their names, and ensure a welcoming, personalized experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, glassware, and equipment.
- Monitor bar stock and assist with restocking and inventory management.
- Communicate specials, promotions, and menu items to guests.
- Accept guest payments and process transactions accurately.
- Ensure compliance with all local and state alcohol laws and company policies.
- Maintain side work and closing duties as assigned by management.
- Collaborate with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to provide seamless service.
- Uphold high standards for quality, presentation, and speed of service.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
What You Bring
- A friendly, outgoing personality and excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and standard drink recipes.
- Ability to multitask and stay composed in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills.
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol according to state law.
- Previous bartending experience preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and remain stationary for up to 8 hours per shift.
- Bend, stoop, reach, and lift items weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Work in a fast-paced, busy bar environment.
