The Salt Line Bethesda is looking for BAR TEAM!

The Salt Line Bethesda is the third location in the DMV for the extremely successful and beloved DC-born 'New England meets the Chesapeake' oyster and seafood restaurant. Opening on July 11th, 2023, our beautiful bar and lounge area has been a hit since day one, quickly becoming the downtown hot spot for Bethesda and beyond.

Our bar teams work hard, take pride in what we do, treat our guests like friends, and have fun while doing it! We have a reputation for building strong and loyal neighborhood followings, and we are actively seeking bar professionals to join our newest Bethesda team. Ideal candidates have experience in both fine dining and high-volume settings; are reliable, efficient, and organized; are excellent team players (pooled house); and genuinely enjoy providing memorable guest experiences. Candidates should bring a positive, professional attitude and possess a passion for hospitality and the restaurant industry.

Our beverage program features a creative yet approachable cocktail menu, an eclectic wine list, and an excellent craft beer selection, heavily drawing from NE & local breweries. We partner with local distillers and breweries to showcase what makes the DMV area special, while also featuring classic names that highlight New England beer and spirits.

Little bit about us:

The original The Salt Line opened in spring 2017 across from Nats Park in the Navy Yard neighborhood. It quickly established itself as one of Washington DC's most acclaimed and busiest bars and restaurants, serving as both a casual neighborhood spot and an upscale dining destination. It has received numerous accolades, including a three-star review from the Washington Post's Tom Sietsema, the 2019 Rammy for Chef of the Year (Kyle Bailey), and the 2020 Rammy for Favorite Gathering Place.

Building on this success, Long Shot Hospitality opened its second The Salt Line in Ballston, VA, in October 2021. It also received immediate praise and has become a cornerstone of the neighborhood, regarded as one of the top dining spots in the area.

Desired Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of relevant high-volume/upscale dining server experience (preferred)
• Basic professional knowledge of food, beverage, and wine service
• TIPS or other alcohol service training a plus
• Positive attitude and friendly demeanor
• Professional, punctual, reliable
• Team-oriented mindset (we operate as a pooled house)
• Availability for at least three shifts per week
• Comfortable on your feet for extended periods, indoors and outdoors
