Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Barrier Concrete Finisher Journeyman for the Southeast Connector Project in Fort Worth, TX. The role requires finishing slipformed barriers, reading plans, and coordinating with paving and labor crews on a major highway project.

Applicants must have at least 3 years of concrete finishing experience and be able to pass drug and alcohol testing; carpentry experience is a plus. The work involves day shifts with potential overtime and safety‑driven procedures on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of concrete finishing experience; carpentry experience preferred
• Prior experience finishing slipformed concrete barrier
• Ability to finish faces and tops, repair surface defects, and maintain the required barrier profile
• Ability to work safely alongside a moving slipform operation and keep pace with production
• Experience placing and finishing concrete on highway, roadway, or other heavy civil construction projects
• Skilled in concrete paving and finishing work, including bridge decks, roadway slabs, flatwork, or concrete barriers
• Familiarity with concrete finishing tools and equipment, and the ability to coordinate work with paving, form-setting, and labor crews
• Ability to read and follow project plans, elevations, and grade information for concrete placement and finishing
