Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc. in Texas is seeking dependable individuals for outdoor traffic control roles. As a flagger, you will set up safe work zones, direct vehicle flow, and communicate with teammates to keep everyone safe in all weather conditions.

This full-time position offers hourly pay between $16.00 and $16.75, a benefits package including medical and dental options, life and disability coverage, 401(k), and PTO, with opportunities for growth through on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required
• Stand 8-12 hours daily
• Lift 50-60 lbs
• Work in all weather, and in traffic
• Pass pre-employment drug test

Responsibilities

• Setting up safe work zones with proper equipment
• Communicating with your partner to keep everyone safe
• Controlling traffic flow with stop/slow paddles
• Providing outstanding service and protection to customers
• Receiving continuous development and guidance to turn an entry level opportunity into a long-term career
• Assists Field Supervisors in job setups and pick-ups
• Assists as a flagger on Flagging projects
• Assists in the cleanup of the Yard and Warehouse

Job Description

The job is fast paced and requires continuous attention to detail. The work is performed in low and high traffic areas exposed to the elements.

Job Duties:

• Setting up safe work zones with proper equipment
• Communicating with your partner to keep everyone safe
• Controlling traffic flow with stop/slow paddles
• Providing outstanding service and protection to customers
• Receiving continuous development and guidance to turn an entry level opportunity into a long-term career
• Assists Field Supervisors in job setups and pick-ups
• Assists as a flagger on Flagging projects
• Assists in the cleanup of the Yard and Warehouse

Competencies:

• Able to follow instructions and directions.
• Able to communicate effectively with the Supervisor in turn.
• Able to work with basic tools such as screwdriver, hammer, wrench, drill, etc.
• Able to show up to work on time and ready

Additional Information

• Full time, $16.00 - $16.75/hour
