Job summary

AWP Safety in Texas is seeking a Barricade Setter / Traffic Control Flagger to join our field operations in Cibolo. The role requires physically demanding work outdoors, setting up safe work zones and directing traffic to protect workers and the traveling public.

You will collaborate with partners, follow supervisor guidance, and use basic hand tools. A valid driver's license, ability to stand long hours, and the capacity to lift up to 60 lbs are essential. Prior flagger experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to stand 8–12 hours a day.
• Ability to lift 50–60 lbs.
• Work in all weather and in traffic.
• Passing pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Setting up safe work zones with proper equipment.
• Communicating with partner to keep everyone safe.
• Controlling traffic flow with stop/slow paddles.
• Providing service and protection to customers.
• Assisting Field Supervisors in job setups and pickups.
• Assisting as a flagger on flagging projects.
• Assisting in yard/warehouse cleanup.
• Following instructions and directions.
• Communicating with Supervisor clearly.

Compensation: USD 16 - USD 16.75 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Setting up safe work zones with proper equipment
• Communicating with your partner to keep everyone safe
• Controlling traffic flow with stop/slow paddles
• Providing outstanding service and protection to customers
• Assisting Field Supervisors in job setups and pick‑ups
• Assisting as a flagger on flagging projects
• Assisting in the cleanup of the yard and warehouse
• Following instructions and directions
• Communicating effectively with the Supervisor
• Using basic tools such as screwdriver, hammer, wrench, drill, etc.
• Showing up to work on time and ready
• Assisting in continuous development and guidance to grow into a long‑term career

Qualifications and Requirements
