Job summary

Levy Restaurants, a brand within Compass Group USA, is seeking a Barista for resort venues to prepare and serve ice cream, hot and cold beverages, including Starbucks coffee and tea. Weekend and holiday availability is required, and compensation includes hourly wages plus tips.

You will educate guests on the drinks menu, take orders, upsell items, and maintain a clean, organized service area while complying with safety and beverage regulations.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a barista or waiter/waitress.
• Hands-on experience with brewing equipment.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and guest services orientation.
• Flexible to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
• Ability to keep venue organized, stocked and clean.
• Jerry Jolly Responsible Alcohol Service Certificate (if applicable).

Responsibilities

Mandatory Tip Split Position

We are looking for a Barista to prepare and serve ice cream, hot and cold beverages, including various types of Starbucks coffee and tea.

Barista responsibilities include educating the resorts guests on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and knowledge of how brewing equipment operates and troubleshoot equipment when necessary. You should also be able to work various shifts and be able to work during All Major Holidays and weekends. Note: this position’s compensation includes hourly wages and tips.

Responsibilities

This is not an exhaustive list. The items below are primary duties. All other duties assigned by leadership are expected to be completed as requested.

• Check guests Identification and ensure it age meets the legal drinking age.


• Greets, directs and responds to guest questions and needs in a timely manner


• Assess customer’ needs and preferences and make recommendations with your knowledge of the venue’s menu.


• Pay close attention to details of recipes (e.g. guest preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)


• Responsible for keeping venue clean and organized per company standards


• Understanding pricing at your venue


• Assist in regular inventory counts at your venue


• Restock and replenish venue inventory and supplies as needed


• Cash balancing/handling Required


• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs asap.


• Ensure the venue is always Show Ready


• Comply with all County and Company food and beverage regulations
