Job summary

Kohler Co. Woodlake Market in Kohler, WI is seeking a friendly Barista to greet guests, prepare coffee and smoothies, upsell add-ons, and maintain a clean, welcoming cafe environment.

You will operate espresso machines and blenders, handle cash and card transactions, assist with inventory, and participate in daily opening and closing duties. Weekends are required; 18+ years old; prior coffee experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years or older to apply.
• Weekends are required
• Previous experience with varieties of coffee drinks and equipment preferred
• Learn2Serve Certification preferred
• Previous experience with some food preparation preferred
• Strong communication, time management, and attention to detail needed
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Food Safety Certification Preferred, Bartending License Preferred
• Customer Service Experience Preferred

Responsibilities

• Greets guests with enthusiasm, presents menu and takes orders accurately.
• Suggests food and beverages, upselling supplements and smoothie add-ons.
• Processes payment transactions for guests.
• Communicates effectively with guests and answers questions.
• Monitors guest satisfaction and performs service recovery as needed.
• Responds to guest questions regarding menu and supplements.
• Operates cafe equipment including espresso machines and Vitamix blenders.
• Assists with stocking, inventory, and maintaining parity stock levels.
• Follows cafe SOPs, opening and closing checklists.
• Assists Café Coordinator with R&D of monthly drinks and smoothie specials.
• Displays products attractively and maintains cleanliness.
• Cross-trains in back-of-house operations including juicing as needed.
• Completes tasks promptly as assigned by leadership.
• Must obtain food safety certification if not already certified.
