Job summary

Qualifications

• Professional appearance and courteous demeanor.
• Team player and willingness to pitch-in.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of table settings, service ware and menu items.
• Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
• Ability to transport large trays weighing up to 30 lbs in a crowded room.
• Ability to operate beverage and toast equipment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
• Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or restaurant promotions.
• Record the details of the order from the guests and input into the POS system.
• Retrieve orders up to 30 lbs from kitchen, confirm accuracy, and deliver to guest with condiments.
• Abide by all state, federal and corporate requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
• Market and serve desserts or specialty coffees upon request.
• Operate POS procedures to pre-check order and close the check.
• Present the check to guest promptly.
• Adhere to attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
