Job summary

Hy-Vee seeks a friendly Coffee Shop Barista to greet customers, craft beverages, and maintain a clean, welcoming coffee shop. You will learn products, take orders, and help customers find items while working in a fast-paced team environment.

You will ensure accuracy in orders, manage stock, and follow Hy-Vee policies to deliver a consistent, positive experience for every customer who visits the coffee shop.

Qualifications

• Follow written and verbal instructions with confidence.
• Use basic math skills for simple addition, subtraction, counting, and recording.
• Communicate clearly with customers and teammates in a friendly, helpful way.
• Stay organized and keep up with the pace of a busy coffee shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly, learning their names, and going the extra mile to make every visit a positive one
• Take customer orders at the counter and over the phone, and assist with finding products and answering questions
• Prepare and replenish coffee shop products as needed throughout your shift
• Monitor product freshness and appearance and follow or develop a production list to stay ahead of daily needs
• Handle food safely and keep the work area clean, neat, and up to department standards at all times
