Latasse Café in Newark is seeking experienced baristas to craft handcrafted beverages and pastries. You will operate espresso machines, prep drinks, assist with online orders, and maintain a clean, friendly service area.

The role requires reliability, strong customer service, and the ability to work within café hours including weekends, with on-site duties and a starting pay of $18–$20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience with commercial espresso equipment.
• Ability to prepare espresso-based drinks and steam milk.
• Strong customer service, communication and order accuracy.
• Willingness to assist with food preparation, cleaning and restocking.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality; dependable commute to Downtown Newark.
• Availability for shifts, including weekends.
• Experience with Clover, Odoo or online ordering platforms is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare espresso, cappuccino, latte and other beverages according to café recipes.
• Steam milk consistently and manage dairy and alternative milks.
• Prepare fresh juices and smoothies as trained.
• Bake and finish ready-to-bake pastries and display them neatly.
• Greet customers, take orders and process payments.
• Assist with basic sandwich and food preparation.
• Prepare, package and label online, pickup and delivery orders.
• Follow food safety and allergen procedures; escalate allergies to the manager.
