Position Summary

We are seeking dynamic and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a knack for delivering top-notch service in a premium dining environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have a memorable and enjoyable experience.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $15, plus tips.

About the Venue

Ensemble Arts Philly is home to a wide variety of genres including Broadway, comedy, theater, jazz, dance, and family presentations across three iconic venues: the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, the Academy of Music, and the Miller Theater.

Responsibilities

1. Preparing and serving hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, and teas.
2. Operating espresso machines and other brewing equipment to create quality beverages.
3. Ensuring consistent drink quality and presentation.
4. Providing prompt, friendly customer service and educating customers on the menu and various coffee beans.

Qualifications

1. Knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, and espresso techniques.
2. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to engage with customers to ensure their satisfaction.
3. Attention to detail and presentation to create visually appealing drinks.
4. Baristas must efficiently manage their time to handle multiple orders, ensuring customers receive their drinks promptly.
5. Proficiency in cash handling and using POS systems is necessary for processing orders and transactions.
6. Maintaining a clean and hygienic workspace is essential to ensure the safety and health of employees and customers.
7. Effective collaboration with coworkers is crucial as baristas often work as part of a team in a fast-paced coffee shop environment.
