Position Summary

As a Team Member of the Food and Beverage team, the Barista is a CRCR Ambassador and takes personal ownership to ensure all of their actions are in the best interest of the business. The Barista is responsible for greeting Guests, taking orders and payment, reconciling their cash drawer, crafting and delivering quality coffee, non-coffee products and pastries in a timely manner, and creating a positive, energetic atmosphere for the Guest.

Position Functions

Essential Functions

  • Interact with Guests, take orders, and provide recommendations based on Guests’ preferences.
  • Prepare various coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and other specialty drinks, ensuring consistency in taste and quality.
  • Operate and maintain coffee-making equipment.
  • Monitor and manage inventory, ensuring that coffee and related supplies are stocked and ordered as needed.
  • Keep the work area and Guest areas clean and organized.
  • Ensure that beverages are prepared to high-quality standards regarding taste, presentation, and temperature.
  • Provide exceptional and professional Guest Service.
  • Manage multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining quality of products and efficiency of service.
  • Maintain consistency in recipes and brewing techniques to meet Guest expectations.
  • Continuously improve and refine coffee-making techniques and skills to deliver exceptional beverage service.
  • Complies with the Department of Health and business sanitation standards.
  • Communicate professionally with management and involve them in Guest recovery issues immediately.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • 1+ year of Guest service experience in a high-volume quick service/coffee shop/concession stand atmosphere.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in Food and Beverage preparation.
  • Additional industry certifications.
