Description

This role is a part-time position rather than a seasonal opportunity.

Summary

This position is responsible for taking orders from customers, preparing specialized coffee drinks, serving doughnuts, and handling customer payments, while contributing to the success of the café environment. Duties include:

• Using a “Guest First” decision-making process in prioritizing duties.
• Demonstrating a high level of customer service.
• Maintaining a positive attitude and creating rapport with customers.
• Maintaining regular and punctual attendance.
• Exhibiting a high level of product knowledge, including ingredient and allergen information, and answering customer questions.
• Taking orders and handling payment transactions.
• Preparing coffee-related drinks, including espresso, according to Top Pot’s recipes and quality standards.
• Displaying and serving doughnuts, pastries, sandwiches, and bottled beverages.
• Monitoring inventory levels and communicating supply needs to the supervisor.
• Cleaning espresso machines and maintaining sanitary work and service areas.
• Ensuring cleanliness of bathrooms and dining areas, including bussing tables, trash removal, dishwashing, and floor cleaning.
• Handling cash accurately, including counting money, making change, and balancing cash drawers.
• Practicing food safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Adhering to Top Pot policies, procedures, and training guidelines.
• Possibly holding a key to the café.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.
