Job summary

The University of Arizona is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide friendly, prompt service at our cafe location. You will take orders, prepare beverages and food items, handle payments, and maintain a clean, welcoming workspace according to standards.

Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required. Training will cover safety, sanitation, and brand guidelines to ensure a consistent, high-quality customer experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greets and welcomes customers providing exceptional customer service.
  • Take orders, including offering menu recommendations and noting dietary restrictions or special requests.
  • Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages and food items according to the standardized recipes or customized for customer.
  • Maintains food safety standards.
  • Receive and process payments accurately using the point of sale systems.
  • Assists with opening and closing duties, ensuring all stations, equipment, and storage areas are properly secured and stocked.
  • Restocking supplies such as cups, lids, coffee beans, syrups and food items.
  • Maintain workstations including, cleaned and stocked.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment, including sanitizing equipment, wiping counters, and following food safety standards.
  • Monitors and records appropriate temperatures for storage and equipment to ensure product quality and safety.
  • Ensure all food prep equipment, stations, storage areas are cleaned and maintained.

This position contributes to Starbucks/University of Arizona success by providing legendary customer service to all customers. This job creates the Starbucks Experience for our customers by providing customers with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.


This position requires evening, days, weekend and holiday work.
