Job summary

Norman Regional in Oklahoma is seeking a friendly team member to learn customer service, drink preparation, and food handling in the café. You will follow recipes, keep a clean workspace, stock shelves, and help ensure health and safety standards are met.

You’ll handle cash with accuracy, troubleshoot POS issues, and collaborate with supervisors to reduce waste and improve profitability. A high school diploma and some service experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months in customer service setting required. Six months as a barista preferred.
• Cleveland County Food Handlers Permit required. Must be obtained before beginning work in the coffee shop.
• Must be able to correctly count money and troubleshoot on the POS system.

Responsibilities

• Provides high quality customer service and develops relationships with customers.
• Learns how to provide consistent drinks according to Starbucks recipes and standards.
• Learns how to prepare food products for serving.
• Learns to receive and prepare food items for resale and that cases and shelves are stocked with profitability in mind.
• Follows Health Department guidelines and store cleaning policies.
• Learns to maintain a clean work environment using opening and closing checklists.
• Learns to accurately charge for products and handles cash deposits.
• Learns how to troubleshoot and resolve computer or transaction issues.
• Suggest innovative ways to reduce loss and waste and increase profitability.
