Job summary

Norman Regional Health System in Norman, OK is seeking an energetic team member for our hospital coffee shop to provide high quality customer service, build relationships with customers, and learn to prepare drinks and food items according to Starbucks recipes and standards while following safety guidelines.

You will learn to receive and prepare items for resale, count money accurately, handle cash and deposits, troubleshoot POS issues, and maintain a clean work area in compliance with Health

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months in customer service setting required.
• Six months as a barista preferred.
• Cleveland County Food Handlers Permit required. Must be obtained before beginning work in the coffee shop.
• Must be able to correctly count money and troubleshoot on the POS system.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality customer service and develop relationships.
• Learn to prepare drinks according to Starbucks recipes and standards.
• Learn how to prepare food products for serving.
• Receive and prepare food items for resale and ensure proper stock levels throughout the day.
• Follow Health Department guidelines and store cleaning policies.
• Maintain a clean work environment using opening and closing checklists.
• Accurately charge for products and perform cash handling procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve computer or transaction issues.
• Suggest innovative ways to reduce loss and waste and increase profitability.
• Communicate results with Supervisor as necessary.
