Job summary

Hyatt Regency Westlake is seeking a Barista / Coffee Shop Attendant to enhance guest experiences by crafting specialty coffee drinks, assisting guests, and promoting merchandise. The role emphasizes welcoming service, accuracy in cash handling, and maintaining a clean, inviting coffee shop environment.

You will greet guests, prepare beverages, restock displays, and operate the Micros POS system while adhering to SOPs and safety procedures. Prior café experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–6 months of related café or barista experience preferred.
• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Experience with cash handling and point-of-sale systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide information about available food, beverages, merchandise, and hotel amenities.
• Prepare specialty coffee drinks following established recipes and operate coffee shop equipment safely and correctly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the coffee shop, including equipment, displays, and floors, according to SOPs.
• Restock and refresh merchandise and food displays to ensure an inviting presentation.
• Open and close the coffee shop on time, following proper setup and closing procedures.
• Process all sales through the Micros system, ensuring accurate cash handling and adherence to accounting procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels, communicate restocking needs, and assist management with ordering.
• Secure all cash and deposits per hotel and company policies.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
