• We have an opening for a full-time BARISTA position.
• Location: Penn Medicine - 3930 Chestnut Street, 1st Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19104 Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:00 pm. More details provided during interview.
• Requirements: Barista and sandwich-making experience required.
• Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Make and serve coffee/espresso drinks and related food and beverage items. Handle food according to HACCP standards for quality food-service operations. Interact with customers and staff in a friendly, courteous manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare espresso orders using standard measures and recipes.
• Enter orders accurately into POS; process payments.
• Replenish condiments, beverages, and supplies; maintain cleanliness.
• Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures per HACCP standards.
• Maintain sanitation of equipment and work area.
• Follow recipes and production standards for food prep.
• Keep display equipment clean and presentable.
• Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving.
• Greet customers courteously and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Serve quickly and efficiently, minimizing delays.
• Understand menu items and explain them to customers.
• Assist in selling techniques and help customers in decision-making.
• Ensure attractive merchandising of display foods and neat serving.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
