Job summary

Four Seasons Hotel Chicago is hiring a Barista to join our Food & Beverage team. You will greet guests, describe menu offerings, suggest beverage pairings, and help ensure outstanding guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate speaks fluent English, can operate electronic systems, pays attention to detail, and works well in a luxury hospitality setting. Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English (verbal and written).
• Experience operating electronic systems.
• Passion for luxury hospitality service.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Previous work in a free-standing coffee house/roastery strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

The Barista is an essential member of the Food and Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests.

We are looking for individuals who possess a high level of attention to detail and a strong work ethic. The ability to multitask and prioritize is also essential for this position.

Successful candidates will be a willing team player, comfortable with electronic systems and willing to accept assignments on as need basis, in order to promote team work. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays is a requirement of this role.

Asone of the primarycontactsfor guestsdining in the cafe, the server isresponsible forserving food & beverage. Duties includegreeting & welcoming guests, suggestive selling, describing menu offerings, recommending beverage pairings, anticipating guests’ needs andmonitoringoverallguest satisfaction.Baristas must maintain a clean work environment and set up the following team for success. Baristas musthave a very thorough knowledge ofall menu items and be able to operate effectively as part of a team.Responsibilities include creating an environment where motivated people want to join, learn, do their best and advance.

What you bring

• Candidate must be fluent in English, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge and ability to operate various electronic systems.
• Service Passion for Luxury Hospitality
• Requires attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Previous work experience in a free-standing coffee house/ roastery strongly preferred.

Candidates must have valid work authorization for the U.S.
